TAKING A GOOD LOOK AT LOUISVILLE SLUGGER XENO BATS
Louisville Slugger is well renowned for the quality of the wooden bats they make. That quality is so good that many professional baseball players use them to make their wooden bats. It is easy to assume that a company that has been making wooden bats for over 100 years would be an innovator in the industry. One thing that many people do not know is that Louisville Slugger also makes metal alloy and composite bats too. A good example of this is their ‘XENO’ line of fastpitch softball bats. You will find the Louisville Slugger Xeno reviews in our guide below.
Many people were skeptical when Louisville Slugger entered the metal alloy and composite bat market. People assumed that a company that made wooden bats all those years would not be able to adapt to more technological type bat making. Well, those people could not have been more wrong and Louisville Slugger has proven to be just as much an innovator with their metal alloy and composite bat designs. Their steady increase in sales each year is all the proof that anyone needs.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT LOUISVILLE SLUGGER XENO BAT TECHNOLOGY
The Xeno bat technology that Louisville Slugger has developed has become the signature technology for Louisville Slugger fastpitch softball bats. The bat has proven to be so well liked that many softball players consider it the number one fastpitch bat in the marketplace today. Not bad for what once was just a wooden bat maker.
This bat technology features an all-composite design. It features a dual walled barrel for power and two-pieces construction that minimizes vibration on mishits. That is a potent combination for any fastpitch softball player. It has a nice 2 ¼ inch barrel size that has a bigger than average sweet spot too. The barrel flexes nicely to provide a little whip action for extra distance when hitting too.
The 7/8 inch handle is solidly built and has an excellent grip covering it. The bat is also extremely well balanced and light so you can really generate a lot of bat speed through the strike zone with it. Since this bat has a nice mix of balance and power, a player can hit long balls with it or hit for average equally as well. It is simply a very nice bat design overall.
If you purchase one of these for playing fastpitch softball you can expect to be hearing the distinctive sound this bat makes when contacting a ball on a regular basis. It is music to any fastpitch ballplayer’s ears.

OUR OVERALL OPINION
This was a really nice job that was done here by Louisville Slugger designing this bat. After this technology was out a few years it was no longer surprising that the famous wooden bat maker would become the manufacturer of arguably the best fastpitch softball bat that is made.
When you look at all the features it has in one bat you have to be simply amazed. Rarely do you see a bat that is constructed in a way that it’s both easy to swing and has some pop to it? It’s also nice that this bat is not only versatile but that it takes very little time to break in too. Louisville Slugger Xeno model fastpitch bats are truly impressive.
