A CLOSER LOOK AT EASTON S1 BAT TECHNOLOGY
Although wooden bats are still around in professional baseball leagues they are pretty much a thing of the past as far as youth, high school and college level baseball are concerned. Although you can use them in just about any league they statistically do not perform as well as composite and metal alloy bats. That is why Easton’s S line of bats has always been and will continue to be composite and metal alloy bats. This article will take a good look at Easton’s S1 bat technology.
Easton’s ‘S’ lines of bats are actually a little bit of a forerunner to Easton’s ‘Mako’ line of bats. That do not have as much advanced technology as the Easton Mako line of bats but they are not nearly as expensive as those bats are either. Just don’t take that as meaning the Easton ‘S’ line of bats are not a good line of bat products. There is a lot to like about Easton’s S1 line of bats they remain popular as of the time of this writing. Read this article to learn more about Easton S1 reviews.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT THESE BATS
What makes an Easton S series bat so desirable is that it comes with a nice mix of performance-enhancing characteristics and affordability. Just about anyone can fit the S1 bat into their budget. This bat proves you don’t have to break the bank to keep up with the advantages that much more expensive bats are giving other baseball players.
So what makes these bats perform well? It is a well-designed two-piece composite bat. The S1 makes good use of the composite materials that it is built with to keep this bat unbelievable light. You can really generate a lot of bat speed with this model and have superior bat control at the same time. The composite construction in this bat also means you will be using it for a long time to come.
Although it features a 2 5/8 big barrel this bat is not known for being a home run hitters bat. That is not to say you or whoever uses it can’t jack one out of the park on occasion. Make no mistake about it, though, this bat was designed for players who hit for average and love a lightweight bat that gives them good control as they swing.

- It is affordable for a bat that uses sophisticated technology in its design
- Thick 2 5/8 inch barrel on this model for a nice sweet spot
- It features a very comfortable grip
- It’s a very good looking bat that will add a dash of style to your uniform
- Sting lessening technology for mishit baseballs
- It’s an extremely durable bat
THINGS NOT TO LIKE
- Not recommended for long ball hitters
- Does not have as much pop as an aluminum barrel bat
- Newer model bats such as Easton’s Mako line have surpassed it in performance
COMPARING IT TO OTHER EASTON ‘S MODEL’ BATS
EASTON S2 BATThe Easton S2 is a hybrid composite bat much like its cousin the Easton Mako. That is why this bat is being phased out in 2018 as the manufacturer focuses on production of its hybrid composite line of bats towards the Easton Mako line. With that being said, it’s still worth mentioning these bats because they are very popular and you can expect to find them for sale at a bargain price throughout 2018.
Easton S2 bats are also designed like the S1 is to be very lightweight to help batters make contact. Many players love the thin, composite handle on this bat.
EASTON S3 BAT
Easton’s S3 bat dominated sales in the previous bat generations because they were slightly ahead of the technology curve the last few years but that has changed and made them less of a player in the market. They are still a very good baseball bat for the money.
This is the Easton S1 lines version of an all one piece constructed bat. It has an aluminum barrel that when combined with its limited flex will generate more power. This bat has a great price point at the moment and long ball hitters’ seem to really like it.
OUR OVERALL OPINION OF THE EASTON S1
Other bats may have passed this bat in terms of the technological advances that go into them but they also greatly surpass this Easton S1 bat in price too. Batters with sound baseball mechanics when batting will save money if they buy this bat and not lose much in terms of performance to the more expensive baseball bats that are out there. This is a very good bat design, to say the least.
Batters that read the Easton S1 review and choose this model will experience an increase in swing speed and total bat control. When combined with proper mechanics a player can really improve their batting average when they purchase and use an Easton S1 model bat.
